WEATHER AND SAFETY DISCRETION
Off The Hook Kiteboarding reserves the right to delay, modify, relocate, or cancel any lesson if weather, water conditions, tides, equipment concerns, or safety considerations make it unsafe to proceed. This determination is made at the sole discretion of our instructors. Safety decisions are final and are made to protect both participants and staff.
Understanding the dynamic nature of weather, Off The Hook Kiteboarding acknowledges the occasional need to reschedule lessons due to poor wind conditions. In the event of no wind on the scheduled day, we will make a determination by 10:30 A.M. If the conditions are unsuitable, you will not incur any charges for that lesson. We will work with you to reschedule the lesson to the nearest time slot that works for both your schedule and ours.
WIND CONDITIONS DURING YOUR LESSON
While we strive to schedule lessons during optimal wind hours, nature sometimes has other plans. If the wind unexpectedly decreases or conditions change during your lesson, we will make every effort to reschedule any remaining lesson time to the nearest available time slot that works for both your schedule and ours.
Our goal is to ensure you get the most out of your kiteboarding, wing foiling, or foiling experience, even if weather conditions change.
Lesson time begins at the scheduled start time and includes safety briefings, equipment setup, and instruction.
CANCELLATIONS
Recognizing the fast-paced nature of our lives, we appreciate that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable. We request that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson.
LATE ARRIVAL
We understand the demands of busy schedules, but efficiency is crucial for the smooth operation of our school.
To accommodate unforeseen delays, we provide a 15-minute grace period for your lesson. If you arrive within this window, your lesson time remains unaffected.
Beyond 15 minutes, your lesson clock will begin at the scheduled start time. While we will still strive to deliver an excellent lesson, the full potential of your lesson time may be impacted.
Arrivals 30 minutes or more after the scheduled start time may be considered a cancellation, and the cancellation policy may apply.
LESSON CREDITS, BOOKING, AND EXPIRATION
All lesson packages must be paid in full prior to scheduling or booking lesson.
Should your schedule or wind season limit your ability to complete your lesson package, Off The Hook Kiteboarding offers options for lesson credits.
Off The Hook Kiteboarding may, at its sole discretion, extend expiration dates due to extraordinary circumstances, but such extensions are not guaranteed.
CLIENT SCHEDULING RESPONSIBILITY
Clients are responsible for scheduling and completing their lessons within the validity period of their lesson package. While Off The Hook Kiteboarding will make reasonable efforts to accommodate scheduling requests, lesson availability is not guaranteed, and scheduling may be limited by weather conditions, instructor availability, and seasonal demand.
Failure to schedule and complete lessons within the one-year validity period does not qualify for refund, credit, or extension, and any unused lesson time will be forfeited.
REFUNDS
Refunds apply only to unused lesson time. To ensure pricing remains consistent with our package structure and prevents partial use of larger packages at discounted hourly rates we apply the following refund method.
If a refund is issued, the value of lessons already used will be calculated based on the closest applicable lesson package rate, not by dividing the original package price.
For example, if a client purchases an 8-hour package for $760 but only completes 4 hours, the used portion will be valued at the 4-hour package rate of $420. The remaining balance will then be refunded.
In this example, the refund would be $340 ($760 – $420).
