off season for wind sports

Our primary lesson season runs March through September. From October through February, we enter our “off-season” as conditions shift.

During this period, winds become shorter in duration and less consistent, which makes it difficult to run our full multi-session lesson packages. 

​Why does the wind change?The seasonal inconsistency comes down to weather patterns:
  • Shorter days – With the sun lower in the sky, heating is reduced, and the thermal winds we rely on have less strength and duration.
  • Cooler inland temperatures – The contrast between land and sea temperatures is weaker, so there’s less “pull” to generate steady onshore breezes.
  • Storm systems and shifting fronts – Fall and winter bring more variable weather, which interrupts the predictable thermal cycles we get in spring and summer.

About our Lessons

We are proud to provide the highest quality wing lessons from our highly qualified and skilled instructor Jesse McCourt.  Jesse has been winging since the early beginning of the sport back in 2019.  Coupling his wing skills with his 10 years experience as a kiteboarding instructor, he will make learning this challenging sport fun and safe!  All lessons are provided on the latest Duotone and Fanatic wing gear so no personal equipment required!  We also utilize BbTalkin Intercom systems with all lessons.  This allows your instructor to talk with you calmly over an intercom system linked inside your helmet while on the water.  With this combination of skilled instructor, high quality gear, and radio system you'll be on the fast track to feeling the amazing flying sensation taking over  the water sports world! Wing Foil 1 session $165
1.5 hour private Lesson

Wether you're brand new to the sport of wing foiling or have some experience and would like to polish up your skills this single session is a great starting point.  If you are new to the sport we will use this session to introduce you to the wing on the beach.  You'll get familiar with setup, wing handling, and wind conditions. 

​If you are already wing foiling, but need some help you may use this time for whatever you are working on.  Our instructor Jesse can help with water starts, jibes, tacks, jumps, and much more!

Wing Foil 2 sessions $315
2 sessions of 1.5 hours of private lessons

Double the fun! This two session package can get a new wing foiler out to the water for their first time! You'll be able to learn the basics of entering and exiting the water, sailing and changing direction while on your knees, and first attempts at standing. ​To ensure a safe productive lesson on the water we utilize Bb Talkin 2 way radio helmets!   You'll be receiving real time instruction, and be able to ask questions while on the water! 

​If you are already wing foiling, but need some help you may use this time for whatever you are working on.  Our instructor Jesse can help with water starts, jibes, tacks, jumps, and much more!

Wing Foil 4 Sessions $570
4 Sessions of 1.5 hours of private lessons

If you truly want to see what wing foiling is about this 4 session course is ideal for you.  For first time wingers you'll be doing your first session on the sand, and the following 3 sessions on the water.  By the end of these sessions an individual will have a solid understanding of wing control, basics of slow sailing off foil, and the beginning of foil control while on the wing.  We recommend breaking these sessions up over time allowing yourself to practice in between sessions on your own gear.  If you do not have your own equipment fear not! We will offer rentals at a discounted price for our students to help progress their skills!
