BELMONT WIND REPORT IS BACK!

5/23/2020

As we begin to get back into the swing of things, I feel it's a good time to restart the weather blog.  So let's kick this Saturday off! Current weather is showing clear skies with temperatures in the mid 60s.  Our wind is blowing side on shore at 5 MPH SSW. We are also seeing a pretty decent marine layer covering our view of Catalina.   Not a bad start to the day, but our forecast isn't too optimistic (for the twin tip crowd).   Cooler temperatures have been rolling in over the past few days with a low pressure system that is putting a damper on our West winds from kicking in early.  Looks like the foil folks will be pretty happy with this mild wind kicking in around 2:00 PM.  For my twin tip crowd it looks like it'll be a late short lived day with big kites closer to 5:00 PM.  I personally am going to spend my afternoon with other tasks, but wind is looking promising tomorrow! No rentals or setup today for OTH, but check back tomorrow around 10:30 to see if we will be heading out! If you do make it out today have a safe fun session! Happy kiting everyone!
